The Crohn's Column

Welcome to the MediMinds Crohn’s Column! My name is Zaid Vellani and in January of 2017 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, an autoimmune condition in which Neutrophils of the immune system invade the intestinal lining and attack healthy tissue. 

By launching the Crohn’s Column, I hope to bring in perspectives from patients like myself, cultivate a community of inspired students interested in the frontier of medical discovery, and raise awareness about Inflammatory Bowel Disease!
